Mascot Mill (Ronks, PA)

Mascot Mill (Ronks, PA)

Mascot Mill is located on Newport Road, Route 772, in Ronks, Pennsylvania.  The old stone mill in Lancaster County was built by Jacob Becker in 1760 and continuted to serve its Amish neighbors until 1977.  For more than a century, three Ressler generations continuously operated the mill.  Note the details the artist has captured - the stonework in the mill and trees in the background are meticulously depicted. Birds sit on the mill roof probably looking for their next meal.  The water wheels next to the concrete wall are painted with exactness.  Behind the mill is the owner's home and barn and people can be seen doing their daily chores.  The Amish buggy and the dramatic evening sky gives the painting a feeling of ambience.  And, the soft reflections in Mill Creek is breathtaking. The detail in this painting is really magnificent!  This print is available as a limited edition and open edition.
