Gring's Mill (Reading, PA)

Gring's Mill (Reading, PA)

Gring's Mill is located in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.  It was built along the Tulpehocken Creek by David Gring in 1811.  The mill dam is upstream.  The historic buildings at Gring's Mill Recreation Area house the Berks County Parks and Recreation Department's administration and maintenance offices.  Note the beautiful handling of the stonework in the mill and trees surrounding it.  The artist remembers how cold it was the day he photographed the mill.  He also did a watercolor demonstration for a group of people at the mill.  The detail in this painting in magnificent!  This print is available as a limited edition and open edition.  Individuals have used this print framed with two openings - one for the print and the other for a photograph.  ( Wedding, engagement, newspaper article, etc.)
