This watercolor painting of Neff's Mill Covered Bridge, located in Lampeter, Pennsylvania, was a commissioned painting. The man who commissioned the painting proposed to his fiancee on the bridge. Neff's Mill Covered Bridge is also known as Bowman's Mill Covered Bridge. The bridge has a single span, double Burr arch trusses design with the addition of steel hanger rods. It is purportedly the narrowest covered bridge in the county. The bridge was built by Christian Brackbill in 1824 and rebuilt in 1875 by James C. Carpenter. It has a 90 foot span and is 102 feet in total length. Notice the details in the bridge and colorful landscape - it is spectacular. This print is available as a limited edition and open edition. Individuals have even used this print framed with two openings - one for the print and the other for a photograph. (Engagement, wedding, newspaper article, etc.)
