This watercolor painting, Mail Pouch Barn, is of a barn located on the south side of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  The artist and his wife use to travel by this barn when they were exhibiting artwork in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The show was held in North Park, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The artist captured the weathered boards and stonework in the building as they were - old!  It is very exact.  The mood in this painting is one of the reasons this print is so popular and of course, not many Mail Pouch barns exist anymore.  He also painted another Mail Pouch barn located in Ohio as well as a beautiful scene of a lake in North Park.  Click Gallery.  This print in available as an open edition.
